Y-shaped lip ring, plastic molding (rubber product molding)
The rubber Y-shaped sealing ring relies on its open lip to adhere to the coupling surface of the sealing pair. When there is no internal pressure, only a small amount of contact pressure is generated due to the deformation of the lip tip. In the case of sealing, at every point in contact with the sealing medium, there is a normal pressure equal to the medium pressure. Therefore, the bottom of the lip ring will be subjected to axial compression, and the lip will be subjected to circumferential compression, widening the contact with the sealing surface, and increasing the contact stress. When the internal pressure increases again, the distribution pattern and size of contact pressure further change, and the lip fits more closely with the sealing surface, resulting in better sealing performance. This is the "self sealing effect" of the rubber Y-shaped sealing ring.
